Two years of Bitter Pill... and an Identity Reveal
Two Years of Bitter Pill, Summer Guests, and Sneak Peeks
Two years ago today, on 5th August 2024, Bitter Pill went live on Amazon as an ebook. I honestly didn’t realise the date until I logged in this morning and saw it staring back at me — two years, already!
I scrolled through the reviews and found a five-star one I’d somehow missed entirely. It felt like the perfect thing to celebrate with, so I’m sharing it here:

So what have I been up to?
I’ve gone quiet on marketing, social media, and blog posts lately. Here’s why: I’ve been busy writing my second book in between a steady stream of summer visitors making the most of the coastal sunshine. Suddenly my time is in very short supply. But making family memories is always my top priority, even though I get restless when I don't write!
Behind the scenes, though, I’ve also started researching book three. A few scenes are already down on paper, and its plot has taken to keeping me up at night, refusing to quiet down until I’ve finished book two, which is not how I had planned things. Writers will know exactly what I mean.
About that sequel
People keep asking whether Bitter Pill will get a sequel. The answer is yes. The story is definitely mulling around in my subconscious — but for now, books two and three have claimed the loudest space in my head.
What’s next: Book Two
Identity: Behind every perfect family photograph lies a hidden layer of truth.
The good news is I’m deep in final edits and hoping to release it this autumn. The book is a contemporary fiction piece titled Identity. I'm polishing up the final chapters now, and I'll be sharing a lot more about the storyline when the publication gets closer.
Whether you’ve read Bitter Pill or just discovered it recently, thank you for being part of this journey. I wouldn’t be writing book two (or losing sleep over book three!) without your incredible support. It's amazing to think it’s been two whole years since Bitter Pill entered the world. To celebrate today, I’m raising a glass to everyone who has read, reviewed, or recommended it.
But before that, I’m sharing a message from my eleven-year-old grandson, Ezra who wrote this in our family Wattsapp chat. It brought tears to my eyes :
Happy 2nd anniversary of the release of Bitterpill on Audiobook! Such an incredible milestone to achieve.
I know we are all looking forward to Identity being released !
Today, we acknowledge and praise A J Linney for her talent, which she showcased with the positive feedback from BitterPill - such a gripping story of bitter relationships in the media of homeopathy.
Take today to appreciate how many lives you change, not only as a captivating author, but as a busy nanny who still, amongst all else, finds the time to love her children, grandchildren and husband who has supported her every step of the way.
May we raise a glass in honour of Angela.
Well done, A J
Perhaps I should ask Ezra to be my publicist!
And now, I'm sneaking in a few edits for Identity before my next wave of visitors arrives!
